- It seems that in the DD show, something kept trying to keep Matt and Foggy apart. It was the universe, destiny, whatever; they are fated to not be together. 5 times the universe conspired to keep them apart and they defied it (+1 when they couldn’t?). Can be gen or shippy, but make it sad or bittersweet. I’m fine with major character death and angst.

- Matt and Foggy, after years of dancing around it and pining and giving all their friends headaches, FINALLY become a couple. They do not live happily ever after. A story of the slow disintegration of their love and relationship (ending with a relieved “phew, they’re not together anymore, thank fuck”). Make it shippy and angsty, emotionally painful and tragic sex scenes are a big plus.
