Sign up here until July 7!

Works revealed on AO3 on September 19, and submissions posted on Tumblr from that day onwards.

Still with the Remix Option! You can say you’re open to getting a gift created from one of your own fanworks!!

How? Sign up here! You will be able to give several prompts (different types of prompts, too! Music, scenarios, one word prompts) and you will, of course, receive several prompts.

Your job? Use at least one of these prompts to create at least one fanwork! You can combine several prompts in one work, use the same prompt for several works... The one hard and fast rule is to respect your giftee's squicks!

Please get in touch with your giftee anonymously if only to let them know someone is creating something for them, and of course if you have any question :-)

What types of fanwork? Here's what you can do: Gifsets (6 gifs min), Fanfic (1,000 words min), Fanmix (6 songs + cover min), Fanvid (1 minute long min), Graphics / Fanart, needle art, podfic.

What's the timeline? Signups until July 7 (your time zone is fine), prompts sent around a day or two after that (depending on your time zone), fanworks due SEPTEMBER 10 in the AO3 collection if you're using AO3, and be submitted to Tumblr.
If you have a scheduling issue please get in touch with the blog, we can probably work something out. And you will be able to post on the dedicated AO3 collection earlier since it will be kept unrevealed until D-Day.

Where to post? Tumblr, AO3 (Exchange collection name: dde2025 / Daredevil and Defenders Exchange 2025)… let us know where you're posting so we can share it on our two blogs, DW and Tumblr.
AO3 can't host video or graphics, but you can still put them up on the Archive as long as they’re already online somewhere else like Instagram, DeviantArt, YouTube, Squidge hosting, etc. Get in touch if you have questions about posting !

Have you always craved more Punisher/Cap, Daredevil/She Hulk, Elektra/Echo, Mike Murdock/Loki? You've come to the right place!

Welcome to the 2024 Rarepair MiniBang!!

All iterations of Our Faves are welcome - comics, TV, and even film versions!

Signing up means that you can submit art and/or fic, and that you will have access to claims. Not signing up means no access to claims. You can both submit and claim, and you do not have to submit something in order to claim something else!

AO3 collection - Tumblr

Here are the options:
- This is both a regular and a reverse bang, meaning you can submit art and/or fic for claims.
- You can go the traditional route: submit your work and let people claim!
- You can already have a partner in mind, in which case both of you must fill the sign-up form and let me know who your partner is.

What are the criteria?
- Fanfic: 1.500 words minimum, must be beta-ed. 500 words only needed for submissions!
- Art: one piece minimum. A sketch is fine for submissions!
What type of art? Traditional: drawing, painting… or non-conventional: pottery, felt art, gifsets (6 gifs min), fanmixes (6 pieces of music + cover), embroidery, dollhouses, podfic, bookbinding… All visual art must be accompanied with a description.

What is a rarepair?
If there are over 1,000 English-language works on AO3 as otp:true (aka, they’re the main ship), then it’s not a rarepair.
Excluded as of the time of this FAQ (might be updated): Matt/Foggy, Matt/Frank, Matt/Reader, Frank/Karen. Let me know if you find others, or ask me to check!
Your rarepair (or OT+) must include at least one of the characters from the Daredevil, Defenders, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Punisher comics, TV shows, or movies... the rest is up to you :D

The schedule:
Signups & submissions open until March 17
Claims: right after.
Posting: depending on the number of teams, starting mid-May.

DDE's Next Events!

Hello, fellow fans!

Some of you have already asked when the next exchange will be, since we've had one here every year at about this season... Well, things are going to be a little bit moved around this time :D

Our next exchange will be for Halloween, because why not! It will include the Remix Option.
Signups will be around August, with matches sent early September so that participants would have almost two full months to create \o/
As always, gen and shippy works are all welcome!

As for the event after that, DDE is planning a Rarepair Bang & Reverse Bang, with the option of working as a pre-arranged team as well! Rarepairs would include all ships that have less than 1,000 English-language works on AO3.
More details will be given at a later date!

And in the meantime, don't forget the Content Creator Spotlight - you too can be featured :D

you can browse the multitudinous and wonderful works created for the event following the event tags on this blog: #ddepromptfest23 and the #valentineblitz little fest as well (open the links in a browser window, not the app). You will find art! fanfictions! gifsets! fanvids! fanmixes! graphic works! podfics! There are shippy works as well as gen!
And of course, fanfics, podfics, and some of the art is posted in the AO3 collection, which currently numbers over 100 works (!!!!!).

Nov 21 to Dec 11: prompting is open; you can submit regular prompts here such as a piece of music, quotes, scenarios, words, pictures... (these prompts will be anonymous) or submit some of your own works for the Remix Option here!

Dec 12 to Jan 29: Claiming and Creation time!

DDE's 2022 Exchange signups!

Signups for DDE’s 2022 Exchange open until June 28!

There are several changes in the signup form this year, including but not limited to a...

Remix Option! You can say you're open to getting a gift created from one of your own fanworks!!

How? Sign up here! You will be able to give several prompts (different types of prompts, too! Music, scenarios, one word prompts…) and you will, of course, receive several prompts ^_^

Your job? Use at least one of these prompts to create at least one fanwork! You can combine several prompts in one work, use the same prompt for several works… The one hard and fast rule is to respect your giftee’s squicks!

Please get in touch with your giftee anonymously if only to let them know someone is creating something for them, and of course if you have any question :-)

What types of fanwork? Here’s what you can do: Gifsets (6 gifs min), Fanfic (1,000 words min), Fanmix (6 songs + cover min), Fanvid (1 minute long min), Graphics / Fanart, needle art, podfic.

What’s the timeline? Signups until June 28 (exact UTC hour given a day or two before), prompts sent around a day or two after that (depending on your time zone), fanworks due Sep 4. If you have a scheduling issue please get in touch with the blog, we can probably work something out ^_^ And you will be able to post on the dedicated AO3 collection whenever you want since it will be kept unrevealed until D-Day!

Where to post? Tumblr, AO3 (Exchange collection name: dde2022 / Daredevil and Defenders Exchange 2022)… let us know where you’re posting so we can share it on our two blogs, DW and Tumblr. AO3 can’t host video or graphics, but you can still put them up on the Archive as long as they’re already publicly online somewhere else like Instagram, DeviantArt, YouTube, etc. Get in touch if you have questions about posting on AO3!

Come and join the FrattWeek Mini Bang and Reverse Bang!

All iterations of Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock (including Murderdock!), and Frank Castle, aka The Punisher! All canons: comics, TV, That Film... are welcome \o/ As long as Matt/Frank(/+) is endgame in your work, all the Matts and all the Franks are a-ok!

Signing up means that you can submit art and/or fic, and that you will have access to claims. Not signing up means no access to claims. You can both submit and claim, and you do not have to submit something in order to claim something else!

What are the criteria?
- Fanfic: 1.500 words minimum, must be beta-ed.
- Art: one piece minimum.
What type of art? Traditional: drawing, painting... or non-conventional: pottery, felt art, gifsets (6 gifs min), fanmixes (6 pieces of music + cover), embroidery, dollhouses, podfic... All visual art must be accompanied with a description.

Here are the options:
- This is both a regular and a reverse bang, meaning you can submit art and/or fic for claims.
- You can go the traditional route: submit your work and let people claim!
- You can already have a partner in mind, in which case both of you must fill the sign-up form and let me know who your partner is.

The schedule:
Signups & submissions open until April 10.
Claims: right after.
Posting: May/June depending on the number of teams.

From Oct 25 to Oct 31, 2021, this blog is hosting an entire week about Matt Murdock and / or Frank Castle, but their exact relationship is up to you - lovers, fuckbuddies, enemies, friends, partners… you pick!
You can also do a Matt-only or a Frank-only work, just don’t ship them with someone else (details in the FAQ).
All versions of Frank Castle & Matt Murdock are welcome: comics, TV shows, movies… All lengths and sizes, all types of fanworks welcome!

And... you know what? If you’re getting those Halloween vibes... they are totally welcome!

Each day comes with a theme:

All visual art must be accompanied with a description.
